seriously i donts. buts theys comin. soons. so if you are expecting me to blog about something i don't know what to tell you except wait, i'm not making time for you! sorry
well i guess i will blog about harrison barnes.
if you haven't heard about Harrison Barnes, then you've been living underneath a very large rock that probably doesn't have any internet connection. basically, he's ONLY the number one, best frickin' player in the nation. no big deal. and he goes to Ames High School!!! ya the best player in high school goes to the same high school i went to. i've given him rides home in my car,
but i don't want to brag
but i don't want to braghe's been the most recruited player for the last two years and on friday he finally made his decision. he's going to the University of North Carolina. and can you blame him? they won the national championship last year!!! so yep that's where he's going.

iowa state was the first to offer him a scholarship and he is from ames. a lot of people, like me wanted him to come to iowa state. he would be the next fred hoiberg. yes it was disappointing but i'm not mad at him. on friday there were tons of people packing the ames high gym to see his decision.
espn was there as well as all the local news. it was a big event. lots of iowa state fans too. but some left right after he said he was going to NC. i thought that was disrespectul. on the radio some people were mad at HB. they said he shouldn't have let iowa state think they had a chance for so long. i disagree. how can you be mad at him? i will support him wherever he goes. he's going to be on national television! he will be in the NBA in a few years! i am so proud to say that i went to the same high school and that i know him personally.

It would have been fun to see you play for Iowa State, but I will cheer you on no matter what as you grow and excel as a basketball player at North Carolina. I wish you the best of luck and hope you do great things.

we will def be going to ames high games this year. it will be fun to go as a spectator and not part of the student section.
ReplyDeleteI think that its an honor that HB kept ISU in his top 6. He coulda been a jerk and just ignored the clones, but he clearly gave them extra thought and promoted the cyclones by keeping them in his top 6. He also gave a very nice thank you to Iowa State. It hurt that he turned em down, after all that ISU put into him, but they cant blame him, and I am glad Harrison gave IState respect
