i had a weekend
this weekend was by far NOT spectacular. but Iowa State beat Kent State 34-14 on Saturday. their first road win in four years since a texas style barbecue over A&M. i still remember that game... the Cubs pulled one out against the cards and the Bears field goaled their way over the defending champs, the steelers. that was pretty much the highlight of the weekend...

and talking there was that guy who walked past everyone waiting outside. he just opened the door and went in. now i'm like wtf? why am i sitting outside when i could be inside? for some reason we all follow each other like a herd of backpack wielding sheep. or sheep wielding backpacks. if someone else is doing it, i might as well too. i don't know what caused a pile up of people outside, but matt was already sitting inside. someone probably figured another class was inside, and someone else figured the same thing and so on. but there is always that guy. that guys that disregards everyone else. the rebel some call him. he doesn't care that everyone is standing outside. he talking this matter into his own hands. he's the guy that when you are actually locked out of the classroom and someone says, "the door is locked." he will walk up like let me see, and jiggle the handle, like if he tried it, the door might unlock. he acts like his ability to open doors pertains to locked ones as well. well listen guy, you are not king arthur. the classroom is not the sword in stone. so why are you always so certain your handle jiggle is better than my handle jiggle? just wow. but thanks, that guy, if it weren't for you, i'd still be sitting outside the classroom with a bunch of other students with sheep for bags.

Well said my friend, I was so confused when everyone just poured into class at the same time. It reminds me of the time last year when all the guys in my chemistry class would wait til the bell rang then we would all pile into class like we were all running to class and made it there at the same time. Mr. Lazere thought it was the funniest thing ever the first time, then he just got annoyed. Isaac will remember this I know.
ReplyDeleteisnt it amazing how sheep like we are at times? We all did that for one of my college classes as well. I would say it was a bit sad, if I wasn't one of them myself. I look back now and wish I could have been "that guy" so someone like drew would blog about me!
ReplyDeletehaha so true. there is always that guy who thinks he can just walk in and do things better than everyone else, like jiggle doors. Someone needs to tell that guy, "hey dude, you cant jiggle doors and make them magically unlock, so sit down and leave that job to isaac o. strohman."
