today in my history recitation, to get us to introduce ourselves, the teacher asked us to state one of our pet peeves while taking attendance. i said my pet peeve was when someone doesn't return a text message. i know i have gone over this before, but if you're gonna ask me whatsup and then i respond, say something back will ya! well i was just inquiring what you were doing. i didn't intend to talk to you after you answered my question. that is what i think somebody would say back if i questioned their non response. it would be in kind of an obnoxious voice too. idk
(indent) i was also thinking, while at work, another peeve of mine, is when someone doesn't say goodbye. i like saying goodbye. i do it often. mostly when i leave. or when someone else does. i think those are the only appropriate times. if there's more, let me know. when i don't get a g'bye confirmation, i get peeved. were you ignoring me? ANSWER ME!!! whats the problem with saying goodbye? i'm being polite, throw me a frickin bone here. i want to hear you say it back. please. now we both know one of us is leaving. ok confirmed. no need to wonder where drew is, he said goodbye to me. even if i am not on good terms with someone, i'll say goodbye. it may feel weird but i do it anyway. its scary to think, but what if you never get a chance to do it ever again? i don't look at it this way, it's just comforting when you can get a response. think about that the next time you leave. say goodbye to whomever you are speaking with. hopefully they will do the same.
