Another Great Idea

i think of a lot of great ideas. at least, they are all great to me. at least, they sound great while i'm thinking them and while i try to explain them they seem more and more less great. i mean caffeinated toothpaste? cell phone away message? i have plenty ideas, i just don't remember them all whilst bloggin' now i can share ideas with the world and so you can't steal them. here's one i thought of last year.
don't you hate the sound of alarm clocks? that annoying shrill sound that scares you out of your dream where you're on a date with taylor swift? you know what i'm talking about. everybody hates the sound of alarm clocks. i cringe even hearing them on tv. it's because we love sleep so much anything that routinely deprives us of that we will hate. sure you can have an awesome alarm like the four peters but eventually you will only know that sound to be the thing that wakes you up and you wont enjoy it anymore. when i got my phone this summer, it had a really cool ringtone called good morning. its like... bing bing bing... good morning... bing bing bing... bada ba baah ba baba bah!!! good morning! and the bing bings and ba bas is a girl singing. it's pretty awesome. and naturally i use it as an alarm. but after awhile, it gets annoying. not the song itself, but just knowing that it is waking me up. whenever i hear it whilst not sleeping, i am immediately reminded that this is what ruins my mornings.
i've tried the radio, but that won't wake me. i just lay there and listen but i wont get up. i've also heard of switching your alarm sounds around so they won't piss you off. hmm. but how about a more gentle awakening? here's the idea.
a vibrating pillow.
yes. you read that right. something that will gently rise you from your slumber. not a shrieking, ear shattering, wake the deaf neighbors noise, but a soft warming vibration inviting you to begin the day. it could increase intensity if you don't shut it off. now i know some contraption in a pillow would be uncomfortable. especially if you want to get to the cooler side and you keep moving it around. but what about like a mat? or something? you place on the bed, under the pillow. plug into the wall and set the time. i think that's the best idea. for couples, you wouldn't wake your partner with a high pitched, scratch your ears off sound. eh? right? sounds good?
prototype: put your cell phone under your pillow on vibrate. take a nap during the day and see how it works. then go back to sleep.
yeah, i'm a genius. i used whilst twice

  1. thats not a bad idea dude. what if you could get a personalized alarm of like oh lets say taylor swift's voice daying "Drewwwww, time to get up sleepy head" or something like that. Ya that would be a cool idea too. yup.

  2. good idea with the pillow. I know a guy who puts his cell phone on vibrate and sticks it in his pillow so it wakes him up. But dude, that second paragraph is just like amen son....and stay away from my celebrity gf in ur dreams dude...lol jk u can dream about her. I would totally go for matt's idea of tswifts voice to wake me up
